Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Windsor and Essex County.
Thunderstorms over lower Michigan will track into southwestern Ontario by Monday afternoon, the weather agency said in its statement.
Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous storms which could produce torrential downpours and rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 mm.
The Essex Region Conservation Authority has also extended its flood watch for another 24 hours.
