Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Thursday afternoon, warning people living in Windsor and Essex County to break out their rain coats and boots this weekend.
Between Friday and Sunday afternoon, the area is expected to receive 30-60mm of rain. Isolated thunderstorms with wind gusts of 70 km/h are also forecast.
The warning is in effect throughout Southwestern Ontario and includes the Chatham-Kent and Rondeau Park region.
