Special weather statement ended for Windsor-Essex

A special weather statement warning of heavy rainfall has been ended by Environment Canada for Windsor and Essex County.

The statement warned of heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms Tuesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms were forecasted to produce local amounts of 30 to 40 mm of rain.

Showers are still expected this afternoon but should end early this evening.
