Update: Severe thunderstorm warning for Windsor and Essex County

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by Environment Canada for Windsor and Essex County, where rainfall amounts of up to 6o mm are possible.

The afternoon warning comes on the heels of a special weather statement issued earlier in the day.

“These thunderstorms are tracking along a path from Stoney Point to Tilbury, then to Port Alma,” said the forecaster. “Local rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm possible.”
