Leamington blaze causes $250K damage

Fire crews responded to a house fire in rural Leamington early Wednesday morning.

Leamington firefighters were called to the 900 block of Mersea Road 8 around 12:30 a.m.

Crews arrived on scene and discovered smoke billowing from the upper windows.

Two people were displaced from the blaze and there were no injuries.

Damage is estimated at $250,000 and a cause has not yet been determined.
