Over 800 isolated seniors across Windsor and Essex County will have the opportunity open gifts on Christmas Day.
The Be a Santa to a Senior Program at Home Instead Senior Care in Windsor has collected unwrapped gifts donated by local businesses and residents for local seniors struggling with poverty and loneliness.
On Thursday, students from St. Clair College’s gerontology student helped wrap presents for the program.
The students had raised $3,500 which went towards the purchase of 275 gifts.
Those who would like to nominate a senior or donate can contact Home Instead Senior Care.
