Brad Raymont of Raymont Berries in Cottam said LaSalle Strawberry Festival goers will be getting fresh strawberries daily this year.

He’ll be able to deliver 300 flats of strawberries to the festival and because his berries are ripening about two weeks later than usual, he’ll deliver the berries in batches as workers continue to pick ripe berries.

He said he plans to deliver 150 to 200 flats of berries Wednesday night and then another 100 berries around noon Thursday instead of delivering them all at once for the festival. More will be delivered Friday and Saturday as needed, he said.

“They’re coming on now,” Raymont said Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
