A Leamington man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly getting behind the wheel drunk and slamming his car into a hydro pole.
Essex County OPP received the call around 10:15 p.m. about a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Oak Street and Ontario Street in Leamington.
Officers arrived to find a black Hyundai with heavy front-end damage that had struck a hydro pole. Police said the man showed signs of being impaired .
A 23-year-old Leamington man is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 milligrams blood alcohol content.
