Still no sign in these parts of Ontario PC leader Tim Hudak but NDP leader Andrea Horwath just can’t get enough of Windsor and Essex County. She rallied the troops in Windsor-West Monday night and is getting them going in Essex this morning before heading up Highway 401 to London. This morning’s campaign event is at 8 a.m. at Taras Natyshak’s campaign office on Victoria Avenue.

Local police officers will among the tens of thousands of officers from across North America in Moncton today for the funerals of three RCMP officers slain earlier this week. Members of the Windsor Police honour guard and representatives from the local OPP and RCMP detachments will honour their comrades in New Brunswick.

The Canadian Tooling and Machining Association in partnership with New Beginnings is launching a new Youth Skilled Trades training program to address youth unemployment in Windsor and Essex County. The launch takes place at 9 a.m. the Ciociaro Club.

Three-time Canadian heavyweight boxing champion Samir El-Mais will sit down for a chat with reporter Mary Caton in The Windsor Star News Cafe at 1 p.m.

Two recipients of the Rocky Campana memorial scholarships will be announced at 3:30 this afternoon at the Windsor Pride Community Education and Resource Centre on Pelissier Street. The first annual Run For Rocky in 2013 raised $68,000 in support of gay and straight alliances in area schools.

In Sports, the Detroit Tigers take on the Chicago White Sox at 8:10 p.m. at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago. The Sox beat The Tigers last night 6-5. And it’s a rest day in the NHL after the Los Angeles Kings dominated the New York Rangers Monday night to take a 3-0 stranglehold in the Stanley Cup Finals.
