Leamington firefighters are crediting a smoke alarm for alerting three residents who escaped an early-morning house fire.
The blaze broke out shortly before 2 a.m. in the 400 block of Road 3.
The residents awoke and doused the blaze themselves. Only minor damage was reported.
The cause is listed as electrical.
