Provincial police have issued an arrest warrant for a Leamington man who allegedly stabbed his estranged girlfriend on Wednesday.
OPP said officers responded to an incident on Sturgeon Meadows Avenue around 9:50 p.m. on Jan. 4 and found a 34-year-old woman with stab wounds to her neck and hands.
The woman was transported to hospital with serious, but non life threatening injuries.
Through investigation, officers learned the suspect was an estranged boyfriend who had fled the residence in a vehicle prior to police arrival.
The vehicle has been located and an arrest warrant has been issued for Mitchell Baker, 48, of Leamington.
Baker is wanted for aggravated assault and two counts of failing to comply with recognizance.
He is described as a black male, about five-foot six-inches tall, 150 pounds with a receding hairline.
