Kingsville fire chief Bob Kissner — already accused of sex offences involving a minor — is facing additional charges involving three more underage victims, say OPP.
Essex County OPP announced on Friday that as a result of the investigation that began in December, six additional charges have been laid against Kissner: three counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual exploitation, and one count of sexual interference.
The new charges stem from three more alleged victims who have spoken with police.
The charges of sexual exploitation indicate that two of the alleged victims were 16 or 17 at the time of the offences.
The charge of sexual interference indicates one of the alleged victims was under 16 at the time of the offence.
OPP said Kissner appeared in a Windsor court on Jan. 5 to be formally processed on the latest charges.
Kissner has been released on his own recognizance on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
Before Friday’s revelations, Kissner was already facing two sexual assault charges and two sexual exploitation charges involving a minor.
Provincial police arrested Kissner on Dec. 10 after being contacted earlier that day about the alleged victim — who is 16 or 17 years old.
Kissner, 60, has had leadership roles with the Kingsville and Leamington fire departments for more than 30 years. He has been an organist and choir director for Epworth United Church since 1990.
More to come.
