Fiery crash in Amherstburg sends four teens to hospital

Four 16-year-old males were taken to the hospital, one with serious injuries, following a fiery crash in Amherstburg Monday. 

Emergency crews responded to Concession 4 Road North just north of North Side Road in Amherstburg around 3:15 p.m. after a 2014 Chevrolet Impala flipped into a farmer’s field and caught fire.

The four occupants of the vehicle, all 16-year-old males, managed to escape the vehicle as it caught fire.

Three of the occupants were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

One of the occupants was taken to a hospital in Detroit with serious injuries.

Amherstburg police continue to investigate and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call police at 519-736-3622.
