The Leamington Mennonite Home has scored what amounts to a hole in one, thanks to an annual charity golf tournament in its name that just keeps growing.
The 15th annual Mennonite Home Golf Tournament raised $57,000 on Saturday at the Erie Shores Golf & Country Club thanks to 143 golfers.
Over the last 15 years, the tournament — now one of the largest of its kind in Essex County — has raised a total of $536,000. This year’s proceeds will go to the Robert Schmidt Long Term Care Renewal Project.
The tournament featured a number of skills competitions and contests, as well as best dressed teams.
The Leamington Mennonite Home has served Leamington seniors for 52 years.
