There’s been a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a SUV near Tilbury, say OPP.
The collision happened shortly after the noon hour Thursday on Morris Road, south of Highway 401.
Details were scant at press time. Provincial police closed Morris Road between Richardson Side Road and Lee Avenue to deal with the situation.
Motorists in the area are advised to expect delays.
Morris Road leads into Tilbury from the west. It runs parallel and to the south of County Road 42.
The section of Morris Road where the incident occurred is a two-lane roadway with an 80 km/h speed limit.
Between Richardson Side Road and Lee Avenue, Morris Road has driveways and dirt roads, but no other official intersections.
Essex County OPP have previously reported that 14 fatal vehicle collisions occurred in their jurisdiction over the summer months — five of those deaths involving motorcycles.
