Belle River landlord charged with illegally entering apartments

A Belle River landlord is facing several charges including assault after allegedly going into people’s apartments without permission.

Pierre Poisson, 77, is charged with two counts of unlawfully being in a dwelling, criminal harassment and assault. Essex County OPP said the assault charge is related to the to the unlawful entry charges, but they didn’t elaborate.

Poisson allegedly went into apartments at 1748 Caille Ave. He also lives in the building. Police wouldn’t say why he entered the apartments.
