A 19-year-old Leamington male and an 18-year-old Windsor female are facing charges after an incident that left three OPP officers with injuries.
On June 10, around 12:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance in a parking lot on Erie Street South in Leamington.
Police said a male was there “yelling and shouting profanities” at a group of people.
According to OPP, the officers attempted to talk with the male and de-escalate the situation, but he became “combative.”
A Taser weapon was used by police in the arrest.
OPP said three officers were injured during the arrest, with one of them requiring hospital treatment.
Silbert Caron, 19, of Leamington, has been charged with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest, and assaulting police.
He has since been released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court in Leamington on June 21.
An 18-year-old female from Windsor, who OPP have not named, was also arrested in the incident.
She has been charged with obstructing police, resisting arrest, and two counts of assaulting police.
She has also been released on bail.
