Essex County OPP are hoping the public has information about an incident last week in which a Harrow resident was assaulted by a hooded man with a weapon.
The crime happened on Aug. 24 between 4 p.m. and 4:30 pm. in front of a home on Munger Avenue West.
Police said the suspect went to the door of the residence and asked for directions. The male home owner went outside to talk with the suspect and was attacked.
An altercation ensued with the victim trying to grab his assailant, but the suspect fled on foot and then possibly left the area in a light-coloured vehicle.
The assailant is described as a white male, about six feet tall, who appeared to be in his mid-20s.
At the time of the crime, he had short dark hair, a short beard, and a moustache. He was wearing a zip-up hooded sweater and baggy, knee-length shorts.
