Slippery roads are being blamed for a collision involving a transport truck that led to the temporary closure of a section of Manning Road in Tecumseh on Wednesday morning.
The two-vehicle accident happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Manning Road between Arnald Lane and Baseline Road, south of County Road 42.
According to Tecumseh Fire and Rescue Service, there was an incident between the transport truck and a car, resulting in the truck going into a ditch.
The truck trailer came to rest blocking both the northbound and southbound lanes of traffic.
Ontario Provincial Police reported that one person suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Manning Road remained closed for vehicle removal efforts until around 11:30 a.m.
Police continue to urge motorists to be conscious of winter weather and slow down in bad driving conditions.
