Environment Canada is forecasting another scorcher for Windsor and Essex County today.
A heat warning has been issued as the mercury is expected to soar to 31 C with humidex values near 40.
The conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind, ,hail and heavy rain.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit warns that extreme heat increases the chance of getting sick from illnesses like heat stroke and heat exhaustion.
Residents are reminded to spend less time outside and try and remain in a place that has air conditioning.
