A large chunk of Essex County is in the dark after an equipment malfunction knocked out power.
Hydro One says the power likely won’t be restored until about 2 a.m. Friday.
The outage, which covers the Town of Essex and stretches from County Road 42 past Cottam, affects nearly 2,800 customers.
