Ears for lungs campaign

Grab a dozen ears of corn and help others breathe a little easier.

The local Lung Association will host Charity Corn Days Sept. 27-28 at the Bonduelle corn booth at the corner of Tecumseh Road E. and Lacasse Blvd.

Corn will be sold for $5 a dozen with all proceeds going to the association’s campaign to educate the public about lung disease.

The association says lung disease costs Ontarians more than $4 billion annually. They say one in four residents of Ontario has lung disease and the number continues to grow.

The association is also seeking volunteers to help sell corn that weekend. Anyone interested is asked to call 519-256-3433.
