Maryvale Windsor has more than 61,000 reasons to smile.
Maryvale Children’s Mental Health Centre received $61, 638 this year from the annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign.
Between Sept. 15 to 21, Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada sold chocolate chunk Smile Cookies for $1. One hundred per cent of the proceeds from the sales in Windsor and Essex County went to Maryvale.
“With all of the donations, we will be able to help many highly distressed kids turn their lives around,” Denise Hrastovec, chair of the Maryvale board of director, said in a press release.
Maryvale serves adolescents in Windsor and Essex County who experience serious emotional, psychological and mental distress.
Since 2013, the campaign has raised more than $125,000 for Maryvale.
