Artists, taggers, vandals — whatever you want to call them, they’ve been leaving their mark at Leamington’s Seacliff Park, and police are sick of it.
On Wednesday, Essex County OPP appealed to the public for tips about who’s been spray-painting graffiti on numerous signs, benches, hydro boxes, building walls and paved surfaces at the park over the past couple of weeks.
The graffiti ranges from elaborate murals to crudely scrawled tags. Police described the crimes as “a large amount of mischief.”
The majority of the vandalism was found at the south end of the park, at the bottom of a hill near the old refreshment stand. It was done sometime between March 10 and 25.
Police ask that anybody with information about the culprit or culprits contact Leamington OPP at 519-325-2544.
Anonymous tips can be submitted via Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.
