Mass hiring in Windsor will boost the local housing sector, said Ben Klundert, head of the Windsor Essex Homebuilders' Association. But it will also make the competition for labour much tougher.

Unifor Local 200 gave $30,000 to six local charities.  The Unemployed Help Centre, the Essex Area Food Bank, the Amherstburg Food & Fellowship Mission, the Lakeshore Community Services, the Downtown Mission and Drouillard Place each received a $5,000 gift from the local union chapter.
