The University of Windsor’s EPICentre is taking applications from students and alumni with business startup ideas for this summer’s RBC EPIC Founders Program.
The program pays up to $6,000 to students from May through July to work full time on their idea. Students will be expected to work 35 hours each week between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. during weekdays.
Those accepted into the program will be expected to present their ideas Aug. 2 to vie for $3,500 in prize money.
To qualify, a student must be a recent graduate of any post-secondary institution or an alumni who graduated after 2010.
Applicants must be 29 years of age or younger and their business must be based in Windsor/Essex County.
Students must not have a job elsewhere and be eligible to work in Canada.
The business idea must be at the beta or pre-revenue stage.
