The WindsorEssex Community Foundation has announced a total of $90,000 in funding will be provided to nine community projects in the region.
The nine winners of WECF Community Impact Grants were revealed at the foundation’s annual general meeting on Wednesday.
The recipient programs and their respective organizations are:
- Reginald Education Access for Digital Youth (READY) program of CommUnity Partnership
- Parenting Matters conference of the Dads Matter Steering Committee
- We Can Help Program of GR8 Day — Crossroads Addiction Recovery Support
- Health and wellness for newcomer families via the Multicultural Council of Windsor & Essex County
- Community outreach and environment series by Pelee Island Community Arts (PICA)
- Strides to Success program of the Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Association
- Suicide prevention and bullying awareness at the Windsor Pride Community Education and Resource Centre
- Kids Next Door program at the Windsor Residence For Young Men
- Ysports at the YMCA of Windsor & Essex County
